The Cheap Textbook is Enhanced to Include Alternate Editions
Previous cheaper editions now appear in textbook search results
Seattle WA, August 18, 2015 - The Cheap Textbook announced today that it has enhanced the functionality of its comparison shopping site. In addition to linking to the merchants with best prices for new, used, ebook versions and rentals, The Cheap Textbook will link to previous and newer editions.
âBuying a previous edition is an easy way to save 50% or more." said Ofer Matan, owner of The Cheap Textbook. "In many cases new editions are not significantly different. Students should ask their instructor if the older edition is appropriate for the class they are taking."
As an example, a used copy 10th edition of the popular "Campbell Biology" textbook (ISBN13:9780321775658) can be purchased for around $130. The previous 9th edition (ISBN13:9780321558237) is only 3 years older and can be purchased, used, for about $30.
